Early Medieval Viking Braided Silver-gilt Ring / SOLD

A stunning and very intricate Early Medieval Viking braided silver-gilt ring. The ring is formed from four rods of silver twisted together, each then braided to form the knotted bezel. The band of the ring is ‘D’ section, welded to the braided ends and hammered together to enable the ring to be adjustable.
