Roman solid gold signet ring with intaglio of personal name inscription
An ancient Roman, deep red carnelian intaglio, mounted in an ancient gold ring decorated with granulation. The carnelian bezel is skillfully engraved two lines with a pithy Greek inscription that reads MOIIΛV/HXM (probably a personal name) in reverse.
